Fellowship and Praise
Ministry
The Christians of the first century church, "devoted
themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of the bread prayer" Acts 3:42.
They did things together, praised God, interceded for
each other, and helped one another. We are committed
to all four of these, and one we are looking forward
to grow is intercessory prayer for our church and community.
Prayer, individually and group, is essential for a church
to grow spiritually and to remain in the will of God.
This ministry must involve, many persons, even those
who feel uncomfortable praying in groups. Part of our
getting together will be asking the Lord to guide and
teach us how to pray.
This ministry will meet the first Sunday of
each month at 6:00 PM in the sanctuary. Prayer stimulates
the spiritual life of the church. If you have any questions
call David Frazier by calling Church Office 1-412-486-5400.
Elfinwild’s “Single
Friends” Circle
Are you single, looking for friends and fun?
Then this new group is for you!!! Have you ever wanted
to go out to eat or participate in an activity but lacked
someone to go with? You are not alone, some of us are
in that same situation. To fill this need, we have planned
some activities and are hoping you will join us! Here
is what we have come up with so far:
going to restaurants, biking, Bible studies, fishing,
concerts, plays, sporting events, volunteering, travel
and more. As you can see, we are going to be an active
group, no couch potatoes please.
This Circle of Friends is open to singles
of all ages including colleagues and neighbors interested
in Christian fellowship.. If you have questions or concerns,
please call either Nancy Tiernan or Margaret Hartley
through the church office. Jesus promises
that wherever two or more gather in His name, the Holy
Spirit is present.
